A box mod kit is a battery section with a screen and adjustable wattage plus a tank with replaceable coils: the most power, the most vapor and the most adjustment of any device type. Vaperan stocks 22 box mod kits from 8 brands, with maximum outputs from 40 W to 225 W among the 19 that publish one; 5 take removable cells, 5 publish a built-in battery and 12 do not state the battery. All but 2 (Vaperz Cloud PIXEL AIO 60W Boro and LVE Orion 2 40W) ship only sub-ohm coils: direct-to-lung devices for low-strength freebase e-liquid (MTL vs DTL, nic salt vs freebase).

Prices are live. Coils are read from the manufacturer’s box-contents list; “not listed” means it does not state a resistance. Cells for the removable-cell kits are bought separately (18650 battery vape kits).
What separates them
- Output. Above about 100 W is dual-cell territory; a single built-in battery kit tops out lower but is smaller and charges over USB-C. More watts only matter with low-resistance coils; a 200 W kit is run well below its maximum most of the time.
- Battery. Removable cells swap in seconds and outlive the kit; built-in cells mean no extra purchase and no handling rules beyond the basics.
- Tank and coils. The tank family decides which coils you keep buying; the box-contents column shows what you start with. Sub-ohm mesh coils in the 0.15 to 0.4 Ω range are the norm here.
- Build. Several kits in the table are the rugged, drop-rated type (Geekvape’s Aegis line, Vaporesso’s Armour line); the Aegis guide and Armour comparison go model by model, and SMOK box mod kits covers that brand.
Who a box mod is for
Someone who already vapes direct-to-lung and wants more vapor, adjustable power and a tank that takes a range of coils, and who is happy to carry a device the size of a small flashlight and buy freebase e-liquid at 3 or 6 mg. For a first refillable device a pod system is simpler and cheaper to run; for a cigarette-like draw a box mod is the wrong tool.
Questions
What is the most powerful box mod kit in the catalog?
SMOK X-PRIV PLUS 225W at 225 W, followed by VOOPOO DRAG 6 220W, Vaporesso Armour MAX 220W and Vaporesso GEN MAX 220W. Kits that publish no wattage are listed last. Rated output needs the cells and coils to match; the table shows both.
Do box mod kits come with batteries?
Built-in-battery kits do by definition. Of the 5 removable-cell box mods we stock, none list a cell in the box (a sleeve or adapter is not a cell); cells are bought separately.
Can I use nicotine salt in a box mod?
Not at disposable strengths. Box mod tanks are sub-ohm and are run with freebase e-liquid at 0 to 6 mg; 50 mg salt in one is harsh and delivers far too much nicotine per puff.
