Foger Vape Not Hitting or Not Working? What to Check

The Foger Switch Pro is a two-part device: a prefilled pod, and a power bank that attaches to it magnetically. When a Foger stops hitting, the cause is in one of three places: the battery, the connection between the two parts, or the pod. These checks take them in order.

1. Charge the battery

The kit’s specification lists a 1050mAh battery and USB Type-C charging. Plug in a USB-C cable from a computer port or a basic 5V adapter. Give a fully drained device 15 minutes on the cable before deciding that it will not charge, and try a second cable and a second port.

2. Reseat the pod on the power bank

The two parts are held together by magnets. Pull them apart, wipe the contact points on both parts with a dry cloth, and put them back together so the pod sits flush. E-liquid or condensation on the contacts can stop the pod from getting power.

3. Open the airflow switch

The Switch Pro is draw-activated and has an adjustable airflow switch. The sensor needs air moving through the pod to fire. If the switch is closed, open it and try again.

4. Clear the mouthpiece

Condensation can block the draw. Wipe the mouthpiece, blow gently through it away from your face, and stand the device upright for a few minutes. On a new pod, remove any plug or sticker first.

5. Check whether the pod is empty

Each pod is prefilled with 19mL. Thin vapor followed by a dry or burnt taste means the pod is finished. Replace the pod and keep the power bank: a replacement pod costs $14.99, the kit $16.99.

6. Find out which part has failed

If you have a second pod, put it on the power bank. If the second pod works, the first pod is empty or faulty. If neither works after a full charge, the fault is in the power bank.

Charged but still not hitting

With a full battery, the usual causes are the connection (step 2), a closed airflow switch (step 3) or an empty pod (step 5). Boost mode uses e-liquid faster than Normal mode, so a pod used in Boost empties sooner than the 30K rating suggests: the manufacturer rates it at 18K puffs in Boost.

What not to do

• Do not open the casing. Inside is a lithium battery that can short, and the warranty excludes modified devices.
• Do not charge a device that is swollen, dented, hot or leaking. See vape battery safety.
• Do not use a laptop or phone fast charger, and do not leave it charging unattended.

When it is a warranty case

A new device that fails these checks out of the box may be dead on arrival. Disposables and prefilled pods are covered for dead-on-arrival faults reported within 1 month of delivery. Why is my Foger vape not hitting?

Most often the battery is flat, the pod is not seated on the power bank, the airflow switch is closed or the pod is empty. Check them in that order.

Why is my Foger not working after charging?

Pull the pod off the power bank, dry the contacts and reseat it, then open the airflow switch. If a second pod works on the same power bank, the first pod is empty or faulty.

Can you refill a Foger vape?

Foger “refills” are replacement prefilled pods, not bottles of e-liquid. The pod is sealed. When it is empty you replace the pod and keep the power bank.

How do I charge a Foger Switch Pro?

With a USB Type-C cable from a computer port or a basic 5V adapter. The specification lists USB Type-C charging for both the kit and the pod.

Do Foger pods work without the power bank?

The pods are listed as designed for use with Switch Pro batteries, which come with the kit. Buy the kit first, then pods.
